The Pros & Cons of Full-Time RV Living

Living in an RV is a unique experience. You might be wondering if full-time RV living is right for you. Which is exactly why I’m sharing my top pros & cons that I’ve experienced while living in a travel trailer full-time with my girlfriend, 3 kids, and our cat.

One thing is for sure: it’s way different than living in a traditional home.

I should also mention that these tips apply for both RVs and Travel Trailers. There’s really no difference, except RVs have engines and trailers don’t.

Pros

  • Highly affordable — especially if you own your trailer. Lot fees are generously affordable. We went from paying $1800 a month for a two bedroom to $560 a month for our lot and utilities.
  • Perfect for the Outdoorsy type & Adventures — RVs and trailers have wheels, which means that you can take your home with you when you travel! Ideal for any glampers or those who like the convenience of a toilet on the go.
